Wipe the ceiling and mount with rubbing alcohol and let dry.
Attach the provided removable tape to the mount.
Center the mount around your light and press firmly onto the ceiling.
Insert the Shade ring and attach it to the magnets.

The perfect solution for a rental! The ceiling lights in my apartment were a bright blueish white light and it was a bit too harsh and bright for my dining room. This shade was easy to install and filters the light to a less harsh brightness and color. The room is definitely dimmer than before, but not overly so for a dining room and the light actually diffuses more evenly throughout the room now.
