Wipe the ceiling and mount with rubbing alcohol and let dry.
Attach the provided removable tape to the mount.
Center the mount around your light and press firmly onto the ceiling.
Insert the Shade ring and attach it to the magnets.

I've rendted for years and just about every apartment had boob lighting and I hated it! The only solution was to take down the lamp shade and replace it with another which could be time conusming and pricy as a renter. This solved the problem and looks great!
