We make renter-friendly, beautifully crafted light Shades that bring warmth, softness, and personality into everyday homes. What started as a single, “why doesn’t this exist already?” product has grown into a deeply loved brand with strong organic traction, thoughtful collaborations, and a highly engaged community. The Role
We’re hiring a senior, business-minded Head of Marketing & Growth Strategy to help shape Tulip’s next phase of growth. This role is about direction, not day-to-day execution. A sharp, grounded operator who can sit comfortably between creative intuition and financial reality. This role is not about chasing trends or brute-force scaling. It’s about making smart decisions:
What to double down on.
What to say no to.
What to launch next, and why.
You’ll help bring structure to how Tulip grows, translating data into direction, and direction into action. This is a fractional role with a clear path to expand into a broader GM-style position over time.
What You’ll Do
Growth Strategy & Performance
- Evaluate performance across Meta, Google, email/SMS, and site , without getting lost in dashboards
- Identify what’s actually driving profitable growth (and what’s noise)
- Partner closely with agency teams, giving them clear priorities, context, and feedback
- Spot opportunities to scale our core products intelligently and sustainably
Product & Strategic Direction
- Use product performance, demand signals, and margin insights to shape the product roadmap
- Partner with Creative and Operations (you won’t manage production, but your input will matter)
- Ensure product decisions support both revenue goals and brand storytelling
Brand & Storytelling (from a Growth Lens)
- Identify the stories, moments, and products that should lead from a marketing and revenue perspective
- Work hand-in-hand with Brand/Creative to turn strategy into compelling campaigns and launches
- Balance brand building with performance, understanding that both matter
- You have a deep understanding of end to end customer journey and connect brand, demand and experience into a cohesive story
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with the Founder, CFO, and Head of Brand/Creative to turn insights into plans
- Create clarity: briefs, prioritization frameworks, launch plans, forecasts, and weekly takeaways
- Jump in where needed to unblock progress
- Bring structure to decision-making without killing creativity
- Help Tulip operate like a grown-up brand, without losing its soul
- Oversee the marketing Project Manager / Marketing Assistant to support campaign roll outs and day to day task load
- Experience with offshore hiring and AI.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years experience in DTC marketing, growth, or brand strategy.
- Experience scaling a consumer brand from an early stage toward meaningful revenue.
- Strong command of performance marketing metrics and levers
- Comfort owning product and growth decisions, not just advising from the sidelines
- A true left-brain/right-brain hybrid, analytical, strategic, and creatively fluent
- Clear communicator who can simplify complexity and align teams
