Wipe the ceiling and mount with rubbing alcohol and let dry.
Attach the provided removable tape to the mount.
Center the mount around your light and press firmly onto the ceiling.
Insert the shade ring and attach it to the magnets.

Like many people, I rent. And my rental is full of those ugly builder basic flush Mount fixtures. And they are really difficult to replace (I did it once already).
