After seeing a few video reviews mentioning Tulip, I knew I had to try! The renter friendly aspect of covering hideous ceiling lights drew me in. It was very easy to install and covered the light above my bed perfectly- plus she's so cute! I will say, the magnets that keep the shade attached to the ceiling ring are not very strong and the shade can easily pop off with just a touch. Also, after only two weeks, the renter friendly ceiling strips fell off my ceiling and the whole thing fell to the floor. Overall, I love the look, but I'd say the construction is questionable given the price.

My son was about to turn six, and when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he referenced an Ad we saw together for the Tulip shade. "I want that thing to cover the ceiling light," he said. I asked him multiple times if he was sure that's all he wanted. No toys or books, he just wanted "the thing" because the light was too bright in his room. I had some time, so I figured he might change his mind and ask for something else, or maybe I would find some alternative to the Tulip. He kept asking about it for days. He picked his color and I placed the order.
It arrived so quickly and it took all of five minutes to install. He came home later and when I surprised him, he literally jumped on the bed and cheered with so much gratitude and joy. He said it's the best thing ever and he's been waiting so long for this.
It was a small change that made his every day life a little more joyful and brought a little more ease to his overstimulated mind. He loves his room more and he spends more time just hanging out there. Every once in a while he wakes up and thanks me for it again, and that is priceless. I'm happy I listened to him. It's a beautiful and brings some unexpected peace.
