Letter from Lori: Reflections & New Beginnings

Dear Tulip Community,

As I reflect on Tulip Shades’ first year, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the support, inspiration, and connection you’ve brought to this journey. What began as a simple idea—to create renter-friendly lighting that transforms spaces into reflections of individuality and warmth—has grown into something far greater, thanks to you and the badass women I get to work with every day.

Starting a business in my 60s, in an industry I knew little about, was a wild choice. Every day has been a leap into the unknown, with its steep learning curves and endless surprises. And while I occasionally daydream about retirement, the truth is, I thrive in the creative chaos. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your emails, videos, and the OMG moments when you install your Tulip Shade. That’s my "why."

As we head into 2025, I feel a renewed sense of excitement. We’ll keep drawing outside the lines, creating, and connecting. My morning beach walks remind me of the beauty in possibility, and I hope Tulip brings that same brightness and hope to your home.
